Jewel grinding

Objectives

The purpose is to learn what stones tell about our Earth and grind from a raw piece of jewel as smooth and shiny as possible to be glued in to a jewel base.

Description

The instructor will introduce and explain the different phases of jewel grinding and the tools. Everyone can grind as smooth and shiny a jewel as possible for themselves to be glued in to the jewel base. As a result the participants will get the jewel they made themselves to be taken home with them.

Note

This activity is suitable for those over 11 years old. For camp schools, a separate material fee will be charged.

Groups: price starts from 100€/hour + material cost 5€/person.
